Anxiety & 19th Nov flashbacks

Losing toss, asked to bat first, everything reminding me of 19th November and giving anxiety.

Nerve-Wracking Start

Rohit Sharma hit back to back sixes off Mitchell Starc and I was like bro just calm down now otherwise wicket throw is just around. My man didn’t. 4 again, 6 again. Thought it’s over but no, 6 again 😭 

Am I watching Ultra aggressive Hitman not throwing his wicket? Pinch me somebody. He hit four sixes in an over against left arm pacer, his match up lol.

Rohit welcomed Pat cummins with a slog sweep six who was coming into this match with 2 hattricks. What a shot it was! Rooftop Six. Men don’t move on!

And then he didn’t stop just there. Kept striking the ball be it Zampa or Stoinis.

Hitman 2013 Feels. I couldn't believe my eyes. It was like watching a highlight reel from a decade ago. I kept pinching myself to make sure it was real. His 92 was no less than a hundred (72 runs coming off boundaries 🤯) and he did what he does selflessly for team.

SKY with his effortless inside-out shots and crafty gaps made it look so easy and kept momentum going. His cameo along with Shivam dube & Hardik Pandya kept us in check. Australia did pull some things back to them in slog overs but Pandya brought back momentum hitting those consecutive sixes to Stoinis. Jaddu made sure we cross 200 flicking the ball over ropes.

Defending against Head

Arsh started with new ball and produced a Classic David warner dismissal! Was thinking Marsh might get going as he does against India and he did with our ICC HEADache. As Ravi shastri said, Head with still head going down the ground. Very fears scenes. It was gaps who was finding Head against Bumrah.

It took a stunner from Axar to get rid of Marsh. Stunner is not enough. ‘Baapu, ekdum saras che’.

Picture that goes hard and a gamechanger one. Kuldeep Yadav has surely got a golden arm taking crucial wickets on a roll.

It came down to Head Vs India and GOATrah back with wicket. The Irony of Bumrah’s slower delivery getting Travis Head caught by Rohit - absolutely poetic. How fast the time changes…

1% Revenge

In the end, India emerged victorious! We topped the table, giving us an edge in the semi-finals incase it gets washed out. It did heal 1%, rest 99% lies in trophy.

It's India vs England in the T20 World Cup Semi-final. Sequel to T20WC2022. The perfect chance for revenge after they knocked us out last time. Glory in Guyana is the way forward.
